Recommended circular needle size 4,5 mm / US 7

Gauge 19 stitches and 38 rows (= 19 ridges) of garter stitch on needle size 4,5 mm / US 7 = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches.

Procedure
The bandana is worked back and forth from point to point with I-cord edges in both sides. Increases are made at one side until half the yarn has been used. Then decreases are made at the same side until all the yarn has been spent.
