Liberty Fabrics Tana Lawn® Hesperides C

Inspired by the lush gardens and mythology of ancient Greece, this striking design takes its cues from scenes depicted on archaic pottery. In particular, a vase painting of the Garden of the Hesperides – the mythical nymphs of evening and golden light – provided the inspiration for this beautifully detailed, hand-drawn pattern.

Stylised serpents twist amongst swirling leaves, fruits and trailing vines, with their forms decorated in motifs inspired by ancient Greek art. A monochrome palette brings definition to the intricate linework, giving the design a bold, graphic quality while allowing its fascinating mythological details to take centre stage.

This print forms part of Gallery Garden, the second chapter of the Autumn/Winter 2026 collection, exploring the history of gardens and the art they have inspired through the ages, from Egyptian and Roman influences to Persian miniature gardens and Japanese Zen landscapes.
