Just a few kilometers east of Oulu lies Kalimeen–Isokangas, a nature-preserved area with three marked trails.

In Pilpasuo, the nature trails offer fun and challenging tasks, while the 12 km Vitsasuo Trail takes you past birdwatching towers, shelters, and bog landscapes.

Further east, Rokua National Park awaits, famous for its ridges, pine forests, and sand dunes shaped by the Ice Age. The park offers trails for both day hikes and longer walks, such as the 8 km Rokuansydän Trail leading to Syvydenkaivo, Finland’s largest pond.

Manamansalo and the lake district around Oulu also provide unique experiences. Here, lichen-rich forests, sandy beaches, and lagoon lakes meet – a paradise for hikers and birdwatchers alike. Along the trails, you’ll find shelters, campfire sites, and huts for overnight stays.

The map is printed on Tyvek material, made of synthetic fibers that make it completely waterproof and highly tear-resistant. A Tyvek map won’t rip or fade, even with frequent use.
