This book describes 42 hikes and more than 30 excursion destinations in the popular Vemdal mountains. You can reach most of the tours within an hour's drive from Vemdalen village. The focus of the book is on day trips that are between 3-16 kilometers long, but you also get tips on some nice overnight trips.

The author Gunnika Isaksson-Lutteman is a freelance writer and photographer who has written a long series of popular guidebooks about hiking and outdoor life. She has a cottage in Vemdalen and spends most of her time, both summer and winter, in Vemdalsfjällen.
