The author Karin Fingal works as a freelance journalist in Gothenburg. She grew up on an island in Bohuslän and loves being in nature, preferably both in her free time and during working hours. The photos in the book were taken by Fredrik Schenholm, who is a fireman by day, but he is also a trained geologist and one of the country's most experienced adventure photographers. Together, the authors have previously published the books Vandra i Bohuslän, Vandra Bohusleden and Det vilda Göteborg.
